My Mother was my Paternal Grand mother.

My natural mother walked off leaving my 2 brothers and me when I was 6 weeks old, my dad married 6 more times ,5 before my 15th birthday.
Though it all our grand parents was there when the wife decided she wanted out, or when she started having to much fun whipping one of us three. Whatever came up grand dad and mamma was there. And they helped me raise my 3 kids untill my youngest was 11 wen grand dad died. My mamma three years later.

Schollekid, Thank you for sharing this. That is wonderful that your grandparents were there to help you through it all. So many times in situations like this, the grandparents can be shut out. A lot of the times, they have no legal rights to see or care for the kids, and that's a shame. I'm glad to hear they were in your life as a parent, and get to spend time with your children as well. XO
